Simon Allison is the founding editor-in-chief of The Continent, Africa's most widely-read newspaper. The Continent, founded just last year, is an award-winning pan-African weekly designed to be read and shared on WhatsApp.

Allison is an experienced foreign correspondent and was previously Africa Editor for the Mail & Guardian. He is a Young Africa Leadership Initiative fellow and on the board of the Foreign Press Association Africa.
